Our suppliers are important to us, not just for providing high-quality ingredients but also for their commitment to sustainability. We are lucky to call many of them friends.
Baking
We use organic flour for all our baked goods as we believe regenerative organic flour is best for us and best for the planet.
High-quality butter is critical for our pastries, so we have to make sure it’s the best. Our suppliers produce sheets (perfect for pastry lamination) of cultured butter made using milk that comes from grass-fed cows, from farms in the UK.
Fruit and veg
Seasonality is key at Heath Street as not only do fruit and veg taste better if they are in season, but they are kinder to the planet, with fewer food miles and no need for high-intensive energy to grow produce.
Meat, dairy and fish
Animal welfare and closed-loop farming systems are important to us when it comes to meat and dairy products, which is why we only work with farmers who produce grass-fed animals and make biodiversity a priority.
Vegan Friendly Options
We only use oat milk as other dairy alternatives take a much higher toll on the environment and oats grow prolifically in the UK. Our Oat Milk suppliers are carbon neutral and their oat residue goes towards livestock feed too.
